Re-launching ViewSonic in the Spanish market
Viewsonic, a leading global provider of visual solutions, wanted to introduce its most recent products – including diverse product ranges as monitors, projectors, desktop virtualization and digital signage – to the Spanish press and bloggers.
The company had not done PR in Spain for some time, and was interested in getting corporate and consumer media together in an event in order to present their new strategy for the local market and allow the journalists to know and see its products.
To meet the challenge of reaching such different audiences, we worked on creating an event that would meet the different attendees’ interests. After the company and products’ presentation’s, B2C media were invited to take part in a gaming competition using the new ViewSonic monitors, together with professional gamers from United 34, while B2B and tech media were doing one-to-one interviews or doing networking with the company’s spokespersons. All targets could enjoy the finger lunch and cold drinks we were serving inside the same room. Sounds complex? Well, we also created the hashtag #RPViewSonic and encouraged attendees to use it in their social media posts. They were all delighted!
A total of 30 journalists & bloggers attended the press conference, 50% above client’s expectations.
Coverage was achieved in top tier one media such as Computer Hoy, Xataka or Vandal, getting an OTS of 5,273,473 and an Advertising Value of 233.276€.
19 posts were published in social media on that same day by the influencers attending the event, reaching +500,000 followers.
10 reviews were arranged with top media in the weeks after the press launch.
